Director of Marketing and E-Commerce
This exciting client is a retailer with 100 years of success and is going through its next growth period. With over 120 stores across 25 states the company has determined now is the time to bring in a proven marketer from the outside to lead the department and deliver its ambitious growth goals.

Reporting to the CEO and having 3 direct reports, the Director of Marketing and E-commerce will have the opportunity to assess all marketing initiatives and tools leading to a recommended path forward focused on the greatest return to the company.  


Roles & Responsibilities:

Brand Building
: you will increase awareness of the retailer and its brands.  Ensuring advertising, marketing, graphic designs, internal and external communication and experience standards all strengthen customer connection and loyalty will be a top priority.


E-commerce: you will oversee the E-commerce platform, website, digital and social marketing.  You will lead the team as an entrepreneur, developing the strategy and executing the initiatives needed to drive online sales.

Customer Acquisition and Retention: You will use purchase history, research, analytics and modeling to understand and improve retention rates.  Additionally, you will drive repeat purchases by utilizing our customer loyalty program, contact strategies, personalization, promotions and targeting.  You will creatively and systematically find new customers by utilizing available marketing tools and develop strategies to leverage new opportunities.

Cause Marketing: You will lead the company’s cause marketing initiatives.

Sponsorships: You will lead all marketing sponsorships which includes an NFL team sponsorship.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous team leadership of a marketing division (ideally multi-channel retailer)
  • Successful track record of developing marketing and business strategies.
  • Proven experience in driving E-commerce results
  • Proficiency in E-commerce, digital and content tools
  • Track record of success in digital marketing, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
